Stripes and Plaid - A Canadian Fashion Tale

Helloooooo ladies! Today's fun fashion prompt with The Blended Blog is pairing stripes and plaid! As a Canadian, half my wardrobe is buffalo plaid but today I realized I apparently am a lumberjack.

I have plaid everything.

Bandage dress? Check.

Flannel orange? Check.

Blue plaid hoodie? Yup. Black and white? Uh huh.

Anyway, long story short, I thought I'd show you a few of my favourite wintery plaid and stripe looks because we're basically wearing jackets 90% of our lives from here to April.

Here we go.

I am not afraid to mix patterns and colours. This Friendsgiving at the lovely Simair residence, I chose to wear a green plaid tunic with black leggings under a burgundy striped wrap sweater/coat.

Here's the result!

But how cute is my family?? Also, Emily is also wearing plaid. We have a problem. Photo by Lovely Roots Photography

Okay, maybe it was hard to see the combo, maybe I just wanted to show off my adorable kids. Who can say? Onward.

This next combo I call "comfy but clothes when Amazon delivers".

Both the scarf and socks are from Walmart!

Dog sold separately.

To be brutally honest, I have more outwear than innerwear (that's not a word, but it should be) come November so here are a few of my outside plaid and stripes looks!

Everyone needs a wool buffalo plaid coat. Sweater from H & M! Boots from Winners/Marshalls

My husband took this photo willingly. That is all.
This blue plaid coat I found a few years ago spruced right up with this knock-off Hudson Bay scarf that was $3.50 at Dots downtown Saskatoon. Check it out when you have the time to sift through racks, ladies. Deals and unique pieces to be had.

The kids are trashing the house? Hilarious!

I'm just going to stay outside.
 That's it, that's all! What's your favourite plaid/stripes combo?

Don't forget to head to see how the other TBB ladies styled this prompt! Check out their links below...
