Boho Babes - Bohemian Vibes for Fall

Sweater: Rebecca King    Hat: Marshall's
I won't lie: since becoming a stay-at-home-mom, my fashion has gone from work cute to pajamas. Luckily for me, my pals at The Blended Blog always inspire me to get back to creativity and fun in fashion.
Here's what we're up to the next couple of weeks in case you want to play along on Instagram, Facebook or by linking up your own blog!

This week, we're talking Boho style for fall. My Bohemian inspiration is this lovely lady right here:
Alison and I on our recent Blended Blog trip to Hilton Head!

Alison effortlessly manages to look ethereal in anything. It's depressing really. Anyway, she convinced me to buy this skirt from Loft (for $4.99, yay clearance) which I would have never picked. The last time I tried a long flowy skirt was probably 8th grade and let's just say, it wasn't the most flattering on my stocky yet short frame.
Bathing suit: Target    Skirt: Loft

I honestly love this flowy skirt, so thanks Alison! However, now that I'm back home from the sunny beaches of South Carolina, our fall looks a little different.

After (creepily) observing Alison, I picked the following four elements to help me Boho it up:
1. Loose wavy hair.
2. Paisley prints.
3. A fun hat.
4. A long flowy outer layer.

Here's what I came up with:
Hat: Marshall's   Suede Trench: Rebecca King  (Dress and Boots older)

Spot my trampoline.

Oh hi, neighbours. Just prancing around the backyard.
It turns out Boho style is comfy and cute. I'm all in.

As an additional (not at all sponsored) plug for a local maker, if you're looking for a perfectly tailored and timeless longer layer, I highly recommend Rebecca King Fashion House. Her pieces are so elegant and effortless. I am obsessed! Both my suede trench and my longer sweater are from her line. While her pieces are pricier, they are so well-made and classic.

Until next summer, I think I'll have to add some jeans and a warm top under this beauty...

Next week, Long Cardigans... Obviously I'm on board...  ;-)
