Spring has Sprung with Bear and Roo

Peek-a-boo MOM!
You wear short-shorts, I wear short-shorts... okay, I don't wear short shorts but they sure are adorable on these chunky little thighs!

You know it's spring in Saskatchewan when the crocuses decide to reappear and I am LOVING every minute of the sunshine and hoping against hope that we've seen the last of the snow.

GOOD FOR YOU, ELSA. GOOD. FOR. YOU. Ooh that got mean fast. Sorry.

I've been having so much fun with the girls now that we can get outside without fourteen layers.

Both my little ladies have sensitive skin and are ... how do you say... not fading away, so it's been kind of a struggle to find fabrics that are adorable but don't chafe them.

How YOU doing??

I am so captivated by the kids apparel in bright colours and adorable patterns that Jen handcrafts. Not only is she a Saskatchewan girl (YES!), but she just GETS kids. No bunchy fabric or hard-to figure out snaps.

Gabrielle is adorable in her Bear and Roo short shorts...

Move over, Mozart.

She has full movement for crawling, playing and scooting with no hassle. Changing her is a breeze and these shorts stay in place

Maybe Gabrielle needs some florals and stripes for her collection? Thoughts?
Check out all the fun patterns on Bear and Roo's Instagram.

Emily, my very active toddler is comfy and ready to play in her longer shorts!

They've held up through sand, dirt and grass stains...

and lots of playing with furry friends...

Not to mention meltdowns...

and marvelling...

These shorts are also an awesome length in this in-between spring and summer weather.

They wash well and Emily loves them... which is good because when she DOESN'T love her clothes lately, she just discards them, so HOORAY for her keeping her shorts on. #momwin.

Attitude? What attitude???
Emily's also all about twirling and princesses and Bear and Roo's twirly skirts and dresses look absolutely perfect for summer.

This fun little skirt would look great with her graphic tees and might make it into her three-year birthday swag...

I prefer shopping small and now that I have two girls, I like investing in a few really cute items that will last through both my kids. Jen's creations are all adorable and I've been drooling over these incredible mommy and me tank sets...

Jen's a busy mom and when she opens her shop with new items, they sell out in a flash (duh!) but she always gives a fair heads-up beforehand on Facebook AND she takes custom orders so I've been dreaming about what I could order to match the girls.

Like maybe these...

or three adorable bunnyhugs in this fun plaid?

Important cultural note:
In Saskatchewan we call 'hoodies' BUNNYHUGS and you should too because :
1. CUTE and
2. We're the centre of the universe Canada so we should make the rules... like how to spell 'centre'. I digress.

Now that you're down with the lingo, if you are loving Bear and Roo as much as I am, Jen's offering us 15% off her handmade creations with the code GRUMBLINGGRACE. I may have a cart full of cuteness already. Don't tell my husband.

Plus, to celebrate spring and fun, Jen's offering one pair of adorable shorts (or a store credit of $30 to choose your own) to a lucky winner from the Grumbling Grace community
