I took a social media break lately. It was good, it was quiet, it was a little bit lonely (read about it here). To sum up the experience, I ended up romanticizing the break into a "stop scrolling and start living" message.

Recently I temporarily disabled my social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram. I love keeping up with friends and family and venting posting about the girls' daily antics but I'm probably not the first mom to say I've been reaching for my phone to get through my week.

In life, we women wear a lot of hats. They may range from motorcycle helmet to derby chapeau but the gang bandana we put on when our first child is born is like a pass into a whole new hood... the motherhood.  We members recognize each other in the library, start conversations in grocery store lines and throw animal crackers in the direction of our fellow sisters before they lose their lids dealing with often hangry offspring.
